I love a great, wide and wild areas. Great shot, Ian
Lovely vista Ian,Cheers Craig :)
Hi Rafal and Craig,
You would enjoy the greatness of this land, Rafal. There is so much that is majestic, even though we do not have much in the way of high mountains.
Please check out the map an see that this is not in the vast interior of our continent but rather right here in Sydney with the city surrounding it!
And it is great sharing with you, Craig. Sincere thanks, Ian
Australia is really amazing, Ian
Wonderful Park, dear Yan! Beautiful places and a successful place for photographing. Best wishes. Eva
Thank you Eva and Rafal for your enjoyment of this landscape and for your responses.
Yesterday I was in Brisbane and met up with Leo Laps from Brazil. He has been one of my Panoramio contacts who has come to Australia for a few months. It was rather exciting for him and for me. First I met him at the railway station as he was heading home after work at the football stadium where he serves as a waiter and kitchen hand. Then we went out together and did a photo-shoot at some interesting places, which I will share with you soon. Then when his girlfriend was ready she joined us and we went for a drive to the top of the mountain that overlooks Brisbane. We enjoyed an ice-cream there, then went back down to find an Indian restaurant for dinner. It was a great evening together. I guess Leo and Caroline will find their way to Sydney in a couple of months and we will meet up again.
O, how I look forward to either or both of you finding your way around the world to this corner!!!
Yan / Ian
Maybe someday, Ian... It would be great
Send my greetings to Leo and his girlfriend, now I'm looking forward your new photos
This is a wonderful web we are weaving: just in this conversation we now have Leo and Caroline from Brazil, Eva from Ukraine, Craig from Melbourne, Rafal from Poland, and Ian from Sydney!
I think I should throw a party in Sydney followed by a barbecue in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and invite you all to attend!
I will bring some snags and beers :) Cheers Craig
And I'll have some special marinades waiting, Craig.
Fantastic landscape Ian, bravo. Ciao Marcello
This is quite different from Sicily, yet the rugged landform and low dense forest is reminiscent of Sicily. Thanks for your visit, Marcello.
What a beautiful and peaceful scenery, Ian! You wouldn't believe man has ever set his foot there if not for the small boats on the river! It's a great shot of a wonderful landscape! Greetings, Anne
I am pleased that you like this scenery, though it is not as green or varied as the landscape around your home. But there are many walks through this park, that excite me, and it is popular not only down on the water in the bottom of the gorges, but along the trails all through the park. You would enjoy the walks.
It may look remote, or unexplored but it is a wedged right into our largest city.
Kind regards, and thanks fdor your comment.
Ah many a long weekend we anchored up in Smiths Creek & a Waterfall at top end for Shower , Mud Oysters in the Mangroves Big & Sweet for breakfast , pump yabbies for bait , fish at anchor for Bream for Lunch , bliss perfect bliss , not to the breathtaking views & rugged shoreline, it takes some getting used to haha , go visit it
What a perfect description of an indulgence in Paradise! I trust others read your memories, John and that someone somewhere in the world accepts you enticement.
And it makes we wonder just where you are now? Still boating in some other creek or main, or back in the rat race?
Thanks for your comment, John.
