Thanks Craig and Tom. I truly value your affirmations and friendship. Until Panoramio, our flora was just a private world of joy, but now I am delighted to share with the network and the world.
You are a beautiful sweet native yourself, Robyn. I know, I held you in my arms when you were born. You were not imported! And you continue to love beauty and to live beautifully!
Congratulations on your photographic successes in the show.
Thanks you sooooo much Edita. I found out recently that the Golden stars system does contribute to the rankings of Panoramio, so it counts more than just the appreciation of a Panoramio friend. But the best part is the appreciation by a special friend, so thanks.
Thank you Martin and Luud. I feel privileged to live in an environment where Banksias are common, but I assure you I could never take them for granted.
I am grateful that Panoramio allows me to see my immediate environs with fresh insight.
Yes, Inessa. Captain Cook and Joseph Banks had a "wonder"ing when they first came here, in April 1770. So that is precisely the reason this is a "Banksia". And it still flowers in April and on into the winter.
