This fine blue bovine was part of one of the Cow Parades in which artists decorate an almost life-sized cow in their own style. The cows are then displayed in public places around town until they are auctioned off for charity. Read more about the Cow Parade here.

I like your explanation about Cow Parade. So I have copied your text to comment my cows. However I have cited that the text is yours. See that.

This is a great photo, we had exactly the same thing here in Norwich, England, this summer, but ours were elephants.

Everyone thought it was a daft idea to start with, but they soon became very popular. Ours went for auction last week and we all miss them very much.

I've included a link (if it will let me) so you can see them, if your interested. http://www.goelephants.co.uk/gallery.aspx

Best wishes, Isobel

Thanks for the link to the painted pachyderms! I hope that they do this here again sometime: it was a lot of fun to suddenly come upon one of them when walking around.
