Treasure Trails provides walking and driving experiences across Northern Ireland, the aim of which is to get people out and about exploring, learning, and having fun. We will be launching July 08 and operate in the leisure and tourism sector targeting the local, regional, and national market.\ \ Our core product is a Treasure Trail and we have 25 such Trails. The Trails are available direct from us either via the internet or post, or via our retail and hotel outlets. \ \ Trailers complete a Murder Mystery Trail in their own time and at their own pace, following our directions around the best historic and scenic sights of a location. Each Trail has clues to solve, and the answer to each clue is a name that you have to find on a plaque, monument, war memorial, church, etc. Once Trailers have found the name that person is innocent and can be eliminated from the list of suspects. Eventually by the time Trailers have walked all the way around the location solving the clues as they go, they will be left with one name, and that is the person ‘whodunit’. By then they have had a good walk and good fun interacting with the other people in their party, and learnt something about the local history. Also, by submitting a correct solution to us participants can enter the draw to win a cash prize. At the end of each year there is a winner from every location drawn from all correct entries received. \ \ The Trails cost just £5 and provide families with a multi-generational, inexpensive, memorable, healthy and educational activity. The young enjoy the ‘hide and seek thrill’ of having to find these names. Older people enjoy the aesthetic nature of the Trail which takes them to places they would not necessarily otherwise have gone to, and does so in a way that gets them to stop and explore the interesting history of the location. A Treasure Trail is so much more than just a walk.
