I live in Crovie and the Pole in the picture is not called the South Pole or is it at the South end of the village. It is situated at the North end and is clearly marked North Pole !

Hello Maharg. Great photo. I love the colours and the composition. If you'd told me it was somewhere in Alaska or the like, I'd have beleived you.
