9 years ago I uploaded this photo, nothing much has changed other than some resurfacing work and LED street light fitted on the old poles...
Lot changes in 9 years in the world, like panoramio's closure next month, what puzzles me is why they didn't provide a simple link to transfer all photo's along with comments and those important view counts over the years that will be lost when this site closes down.
Be a big loss this site but as usual, just like when they ended support for chrome on windows vista which many of us still use because our hardware can't run 7 or later, they just don't listen to the end users!
Yes there's other photo sharing sites polluted with selfie's and those are the sites where more specific, more serious photo's get lost in the mobile camera graffiti... google should be saving panoramio, not turning it off.
The only other serious site is Flickr! from yahoo... so let's hope they don't pull the plug too.
Number 20 is down now, new build tenament style flats are being built at the front last time I was passing the area...
New builds suffer from a severe lack of soundproofing though residents of these blocks which are the same type as the mitchel hill flats that went a good few years back now, get a bad neighbour and you can't sleep from the tv volume at 3am... well modern plywood huts lined with bricks are worse than these old high rise blocks!
Never lived in high rise towers but know many that have and they're glad to be away from high rise living so I have been inside high rises and it's chaos these days, neighbours used to respect each others right to peace and quiet when these things went up... today nobody gives a shit about who's upstairs, downstairs or next door so you get a headache from high rise flats if you've to deal with the problem of everyone at everyone's throats all the time.
I've since found out that the line is still connected and the odd train crosses it every now and then, I saw a small diesel train there a couple of weeks ago, probally network rail doing some work
Well put Kelpie999!
There is no such place as the malvinas so get in into your thick argie skulls or David Cameron will carry out the right honourable Margaret Thatcher's nuclear threat!

It's gone. They tore it down a few years ago. Shame. It was a cool building.
It's a very nice picture! Like! Best regards, Volkert
