It is a south pier light for Portage Lake, surrounded by Onekama, Michigan. The intense color and contrast is due to HDR (High Dynamic Range) I took five exposures to create this image.
Every time that I drive by that damned thing I wonder just how stupid the members of that church are. I love the nutters who talk about God's way and doing the work of God. The same nutty thinking has our children getting slaughtered in Iraq so that Chinese oil companies can cut deals for oil. Great stuff. Thank you George W. and all the religious freaks in south west Ohio.

It's clam - as in clam scoop.
When I was a kid 80s the clam was almost completely covered. From the water dropping, it has been completely uncovered.
