Actually you're right it is a f-5,, except it wasn't painted for the picture "Top Gun". This is actually an aggressor for the school "Top Gun" held at NAS Fallon, Nevada

Fantastic beach, beautiful place, but the water is freezing, I have been there twice in my life and always enjoyed it. Good picture too.
