Hi. I've emailed Grapevine mag and also talked to the editor on the phone who claims he knows nothing about it but will find out how this happened and get back to me. As yet I've not received an email back. I'll give him a couple of days to 'do the right thing'. If I hear nothing then it will be time to take things further. If you wish to read a copy of the email I sent him you can send me a private message via Sheffield Forum where my user name is six45ive.

Hi. I was wondering if you knew this photo was being used in an advertisement for Sheffield City Taxis Ltd in the Sheffield magazine Grapevine along with one of my photos? May I ask if you've given permission to Sheffield City Taxis to use your photo? Thanks.

Hi. It's up to you how you label your photo but I'd simply replace the word 'view' with 'Rivelin Valley' as that's what you're looking at. Other than that it's fine. Sorry to be so pedantic and, by all means, feel free to keep the title as it is.

Ah ! A nice pic. of good old Rivelin. I know the area well. In fact, a stone house, out of view, to the left, of the dam,,,is called,,,Fox Holes Lodge !!

Lovely photo! This is the site of the old Bartin Water wheel, built by Warren Skargell in around 1630 and used as a cutler's wheel by William Bartin from the 1770s to the 1830s.

Thank you for your comments Rederic. Yes I'm a born and bred Sheffielder who just enjoys taking photos of my home town. Which photo of mine have I got of your sister's house BTW? Saves me going through all my photos! LOL. I hope you enjoy your time in Sheffield and if you're over here during our summer time I hope the weather's better than the last couple of summers which have been very wet. In fact we could do with a bit of your sun and you can have a bit of our rain. I hope the drought hasn't affected you too badly in Perth.
