These are my pictures exclusively of the shiny Steel City of Sheffield (try saying that when you're drunk) to try and show, in a positive light, what a wonderful place it is to live and how lucky we Sheffielders are to live in one of the greenest cities in the world! All photos are located to within a few feet of where I took the picture from and the images are straight from camera with minor adjustments for contrast and colour to give as accurate a portrayal of the scene as possible. The photos are best viewed large, ideally on a HD monitor. Enjoy! PS. The date and time each photograph was taken can be found by clicking 'extra information' at the bottom right of each page.

Er.......don't think so. Six weeks away from 'the mad house' is much needed. Ideally I don't want to see a teenager until September at the earliest!

Thanks for your comment fatimita.

They'll be on my Sheffield one Neil.

As you work in education, I know you have probably been police checked but it is still unwise to hang about children's playgrounds. The little boy with the red shirt and the bike is my friend's nephew Humphrey and his father is a lawyer specialising in child protection issues. Much safer to visit if that's what you like.

Surely one of your finest photo-graphical compositions and perfectly representative of your excellent picture work within the boundaries of the City of Sheffield. I am sure that this picture will attract hundreds of extra visitors to Westwood Country Park. Well done!

Nice picture Sixxy

Thank you for your kind comments goneforeign. It's very interesting to hear what the city used to be like before I was born and that at least some part of it is better than it used to be. 'The Tip' is now called the Ponderosa I believe and is also a quite pleasant green area with plenty of woodland, trees, playground and playing fields - you may already have viewed my photos of the area. Once again, thank you so much for your comments.
