Good memories! I loved this house and village. We lived there for a couple of years in the 80s. The carriage house used to be thatched. The pond where the moat used to be had loads of tadpoles.

Ah yes, I remember it well. I spent many happy Saturdays here between 1981 and 1984 as a student curator. The Roman legionary displayed here was always known as Squintus Ferocius - a name invented by Roman Archaeology professor John Casey. Happy days!
