Buongiorno Maryalice what do you see down there is the Swiss side of Lake Maggiore; as you can observe on the map, the border which shares Switzerland and Italy is not far away. The picture shows the area of Locarno, a small town placed on the biggest lake delta of Europe. I live just there on the shore in the former fisher village of Rivapiana placed on the left of the picture on the other side of the delta. The city agglomeration has taken lot of place (which is not only a good thing because the speculation) around the lake and the formers fisher and rural villages are now incorporated in a unique town. The source of the river Ticino is in the Alp, this mountain stream gets to the Lake Maggiore and finally arrives to the sea near Venice. Ciao, ciao, Andrea
