Hi,
ein schönes, altes Hotel! Sieht imposant aus. Vieleicht übernachtet meine Tochter darin - sie wird eure schöne Stadt besuchen. ich leider nicht!
Grüße aus Deutschland von Rolf
I've really enjoyed looking at your pictures of Brattleboro and especially the interpretation with some of the pictures. It's been years since we visited but your gallery brings back good memories.
This classic example of High Victorian Gothic architecture was built in 1870. It has two entry towers, a high central tower and pointed arches over teh windows adn doors. The central tower facing Main Street displays a large stained glass window entitled "Christ Before the Doctors" designed by Tiffany Studios of New York. The window was originally illuminated from the inside with gas lamps prior to the installation of electricity. There are two more Tiffany Studios windows in the upper stories of the back of the building.
