This is a lovely place. I have a holiday flat here and do a lot of fishing on the lake. It is like stepping back in time 100 years in time in the nearby village. The Prezevalski explorer's museum is very interesting as is the Partisan's museum. There is a health resort close to the lake. Fees are very reasonable. Ideal place for unspoiled peace and quiet although there is a nightly disco on the beach during the Summer months which attracts some hooligans from nearby Smolensk
