It should be "Abrupt Slope, No Climbing". Only four words sign, three of them are misspelt. I wonder how people did this work? They thought they were qualified or they knew they were not qualified but still wanted to do the work. There was obviously no check after the work was done.
This Hotel was known as Ramada before 2008 and then the name was changed to Whitcomb. It is located at 1231 Market Street fairly close to the City Hall.
