This photograph shows the London Fire brigades central Thames pier and a building very near Tate Britain on the other side of the river. I like this building - it's curves save it from being just another block and although my photograph doesn't do it justice it is a lot easier on the eye than a lot of the buildings near it on the other side of the river at Vauxhall.
Increasingly Gasworks are being removed from inner city london, like the 19th century ones that are currently being ripped out of the Kings Cross area. Gasworks are great neighbours - they don't make any sound and they change by the day - getting higher or lower depending on how much gas is in them.
