Fantastic place! We also have a Rani Kottai here in Tamil Nadu, and it's the closest piece of wilderness to Pondicherry. I take a bunch of kids each year around New year for a 3 days cycle trip.
This is the most viewed photograph from the ones I have posted. It is the Sann Gate's Wall protion of the fort and main entrance. Ranikot Fort is a must see, if your're around this part of the world or plan to visit. Its approx. 270 kms north of Karachi and about 3 hrs drive.
