This is the shore from which my grand father, Salvatore, sailed as a cabin boy of ten aboard a tall ship. He eventually became a navigator. He emigrated to the United States in 1898 with occupation on the ship's registry listed as "Mariner". Some day, I hope to sail to Sant'Agata di Militello. I'm named after my grandfather and I too am a sailor. I make and distribute sailing films at www.thesailingchannel.tv.
