No, I don't know a lot about them. For some time I cherished the possibility that the famous NZ yachtsman Russell Coutts was a descendant, but that seems to be a vain hope. What I do know is that my mother, who was Lily McColl and lived at Brighton from 1900 to 1919, until she married my father at age 28, was very sweet on Frank Coutts, who may well have felt the same about her. Frank was a handsome guy with strong principles, while his brother Bill was less striking, but stuck to the boatshed so loyally through the years.

The location of this photograph is incorrect. You have placed it on the South Mall in Cork but it's actual location is on the Lee Road 1/4 mile(approx) west of the Western Road Bridge
