Around Övedskloster is a lot of big oaks (and other old trees). This one is probably the largest with a trunk circumference of more than 6.5 meter. That doesn't make it a record-breaker, but it is an impressive tree anyway.
A view at south-west from the hill Frualid. You can see the a part of Vombsjön (Lake) and the hills of Romeleåsen, entlightened in the horizon.
The rook (sv: råka) is common in Skåne. Some colonies may be disturbing, when they are too close to gardens or even in the middle of villages. This rook colony outside Lövestad doesn't harm anyone. In fact it is one of a few colonies that was left i the sixties, when the rook population was low due to poisoning and hunting.

A few hectares of lush wildwood. At this spot, the dutch elm disease resulted in a natural clearing. The flora of the area include Liverleaf (Hepatica nobilis), Baneberry (Actaea spicata), Herb-paris (Paris quadrifolia), Hairy St John's-wort (Hypericum hirsutum) and French Meadow-rue (Thalictrum aquilegiifolium)
