The far millstone plateau is indeed Higger Tor but the closer and lower one is called Carl Wark - used as a hill fortress during the Iron Age.

Good panorama; I've tried to do them before but not always successfully. Bakewell is in my mind one of the most unspoilt country towns in England and all the new bits are built to blend in with the old. Hulley's of Baslow is 90 years old this year - long may they continue to serve our part of the Peak District.

I like this photo of one of the oldest bridges in the country. You did well not to get any traffic in the photo! I think that Bakewell is a severe traffic bottleneck and this bridge is carrying far heavier loads than it was built for.
