This was not a railroad trestle. It was the old Hadley Ferry Road bridge and was abandoned when the road was paved and a new bridge built in the late 1960s or early 1970s.
Cairo, is just a good place to live. The people are friendly and courteous. Any conversation takes at least 45 minutes, (preamble before one can ask any question takes at least 30 minutes, it would be rude to ask a straight question before finding out how everybody is doing). Weatherwise it is also very mild, navel oranges, kumquats, satsuma are grown in many a back yard. Cost of living is fairly low, none of the Florida high insurance problems, real estate is much more affordable then Tallahassee, only 25 minutes south.
