What a lazy looking little creature! They're those ones who are supposed to be taking turns to keep watch, aren't they? Perhaps he's been doing that for so long that his feet ache.

A wonderful capture, gives him so much character, and the sharp shadows of the toes on his feet are great!

(Funny thing was, when I hovered over the thumbnail picture, to see what species of bird this was, and saw birdie, my face cracked in half with a most enormous grin." Hmmm, Matt's not an ornithologist then", I thought to myself...(but a very good bird photographer, just the same!)
