Hi Chris, thanks for your visit and comment. You need not fear about foregrounds of landscape pictures -your pics are pretty perfect as they are. I can sympathise with your trip to see the snow in NZ -I know the weather there can change very quick. It's a place I would dearly like to go and visit, especially their Alps. I suppose it's back to boiling hot weather back in Perith,Aus now. (Hope the fires did not get too close to you?) Anyway snows nearly gone here now too (10C) today. Cheers. Herb
What means NSW? Great picture!
Thanks for the comment Chris - I have amended the tag.
Lovely shot Russ! The pink light really works well here, especially on the shiny parts of the road.
Pierre-Jean I have also been here in the 2nd week of June 2008. It seems to be a popular stop over on the drive from Twizel to Queenstown. The bra fence ( a fence with 200-300 pairs of bras sread along a couple of kilometers) referred to in the earlier posts no longer exists the fun police (council) removed it because of the traffic problems it was causing. Chris
Alex thanks for the vote Cheers Chris
Alexander Vasiliev thanks for looking I am glad you liked it Cheers Chris
How about that!!! I had a small book from the Art Deco shop and this house was featured in it and I was quite beside myself when I saw it (and I had even less idea how to take photos than I do now)!!
I loved Napier, but was sorry to see (2006) that the 1930's buildings seemed not be be National Trust like here. Of course it's not too comfortable living in a little concrete 30's block, but to art deco fans they are so interesting. What a stony beach - I kept watching out for a tsunami because Napier still shakes!!!! Looking forward to your NZ pics. H
Herb, Sven & Pantelhs thanks for looking and taking the time to comment Chris
...and so this year passes too. Best wishes for 2009 Chris! Regards, CB
