David Mitchell's conversations
Thanks Pete. This was a remarkable day. The photo was taken with a Canon Ixus minature and has had no adjustmnet in photoshop apart from slightly upping the overall contrast. Just realised the location marked is too far south on the map - now adjusted. Interesting to see the lake on Mynydd Llangattog shining out.

Mynydd Llangors viewed from the north looks at its most impressive. The steep side of the ridge is named Cockit Hill on the OS map.

Mynydd Troed lit by the last of the winter sun. It is a short sharp climb of about 250m up from the road.

Pant y Llyn is a small lake about 4 km south of Builth Wells and the perfect place for a summer mountain stroll, being easily accessible from the road.

The huntsman waits for hounds to break cover out onto Edmund's Tump. This hill overlooks Grosmont and its famous border castle. Fox hunting is now banned in the UK and so an artificial drag scent is used.

It's in the right place when I open the shot Daiandann. I know Google managed to copy this shot and some others of Cribyn mountain to the village of Cribyn a while ago, but I thought that had been sorted out. Where is this appearing for you. I'll get on to Google to sort it out if you can let me know.

Yes, well spotted, plenty of puffins at both locations - this photo now corrected from the order in which I took it,

I like seeing those orange trees with the turquoise lake behind them. The foreground detail is interesting as well.
