my name is lisa araujo i was born in lanikai 1960 i have the orinal deed from 1920 my grandfather owned as our beach house i used to fish all those grounds as a young girl of 9 years old we were one of the first familys living in lanikai which they called it other name i remember coming out night time tofish and the whole beach would be lite up purple bright purple from some sea urchin we used to have honu and sting arays come on shore and catch ama crab it is so sad how the haoles dirty the mokulua islands lanikai was the most beautiful place in the world till it got populated as i could remember it was a fishing community
