This is Whangapoua on Great Barrier Is, one of the more beautiful places in this amazing country. You should get there. While Whangapoua in the Coromandel is stunning as well (esp with New Chums beach around the corner), this is far more remote. Great surf and good diving!
31 January 2003, The day after the country ground to a holt with heavy snow. There were about 20 of us taking pictures, I just stopped on my way to work and took a couple of 'point and squirt' pictures. There is one other in my album of a wider view.
