Jeff, I am a retired civil engineer and want to consolidate some of the engineering history of Port Nelson - there is a lot out there. I am aware of the bridge and the island but I can't discern what the feature is going from the left side of the island - long straight and narrow. Can you help?

Have probably flown over the same spot...looks just like going over the ice at repulse bay ...been up and down hudson bay coast lots.

This picture is the tourist location.. not included in the picture are a few more buildings to the North where people and workers stay.
There is a landing strip on that island already. It's about 1800 ft long on gravel and mud.
