The amphytheater was built in the middle 1950's (before the revolution) while Dr. Jose Pintado Giraldo was the mayor of Puerto Padre.

The owner of this house was a member of the Bernaza family who died many years ago. The house became a property of the state, just like all privately owned property in Cuba, not because the owner left the county but as a result of the despotic laws instituted by the tyrannical communist regime.
