I can't say where exactly you are possible to do camping, but Tianmushan and all other mountains in Lin'an are all ideal for camping and many people do these days. Climbing to the peak and camp there is a good idea and a popular option. The altitude of 1,500 meters is high enough to ensure views of spectacular sunrise and cloud formations.

I just visited Dongfushan and obtained some fabulous images of the solar eclipse. The lighthouse on the southwest corner of the harbor of Da'ao was truely beautiful in the sunset.
