Patbretagne's conversations
Hello Michael -- I am seeking your permission to use this image in a travel TV show that is featuring Barbados spiritual history. Thanks so much for your prompt reply.

Plonevez, you are quite right, however, and as you say there is another vehicle bridge just along the road. The footbridge is open now; Noëlle and I have crossed it a couple of times, the welding finish is not as I would have expected, but don't let that stop you from using it! My office is just nearby and when I am not on site I can now use the bridge to get to the main part of the town with less walking, I believe it will also be useful for the residents of the maison de retraite and the CAT at the old part of the town, behind my office. Thanks for your comment Pat

What a great picture, but what a cold and unhospitable place it could be, thank you for a great reminder Pat

Thank you Patbretagne for the explanatory description of this ruin, well done. We passed here on a trip during our holiday. Now we know a little more about this place.
Best wishes from Netherlands, Menno

Thanks for this info. Shingles on spire have just been replaced...and the clock, after a recent overhaul still needs winding!

In the Nantes cathederal on the corner of her tombe there is this carving of Queen Anne of Bretagne extracting a dragon from the tower of her nearby castle. It is a very good replica of the tower that is still in existance. I am not sure of the origins, but the stonecarving is absolutely wonderful well worth a visit.

Called the "Pont de Terenez, connects the Crozon Peninsular to the "Mainland" It is boon to be replaced by a new sweeping curved modern type bridge as the existing one built after the war, replacing stone towers, is suffering from concrete cancer. The foundation works have been started. (12.07)
