It's the back of the house. Round House, or Rotunda, at Prince's Lodge was built in the 1790s. Prince Edward's estate in rural Halifax was a large and elegant property. According to local legend the walkways through the property spelled out Julie's name. The estate was built during Prince Edward's years in Halifax-between 1794 and 1800. The estate was designed by Prince Edward Augustus, Duke of Kent (1767-1820). He was the fourth son of British King George III and the father of Queen Victoria (1819-1901).
Actually gypsum cliffs of Ste. Croix, or St. Croix as it is known now. About 5 miles (7-8kms) from Windsor. Locally referred to as the "Rocks". Originally a French Acadian village, the last battle of the "Expulsion of the Acadians" was fought here and resettled by the English. The bridge spans the Little River which just to the left of this photo joins the Ste. Croix River. Both are tidal from the Avon River in Windsor. The fields are diked from the rivers as elevation is lower then high tide from the Bay of Fundy. Much prettier in Autumn.
