The slightly higher West Peak, with the saddle campsite in the thicker vegetation at the bottom. There are no good views from the West Peak though, apparently.
The ridge in the pic is the SE Ridge, a more difficult climb than the "Peasant's Ridge" (South) around the corner, that we did.
It's called the Peasants Ridge, cos it is easier. But not sure whether there is an easy way to climb a 1350m mountain!

Greetings from Hamburg!
I like the photo. The whole building is visible.

Typical view of the South ("Peasants Ridge"); the easy way up the mountain. It was around 4 hours of this. (And about half that coming down.)
Overnight temps were well below freezing. Had to chip ice off the car.... and the tent.
The final 300m [in height] is trackless, pushing through gorse and over rock outcrops. Cuts you to shreds. Note to self: wear knee-length gaters.
View west from the summit. West Peak is top right (about 3 metres higher) with the rest of the Scenic Rim in the distance.
In the mid-ground is Mt Earnest, behind it is Mt Lindsey. The NSW-QLD border runs across the top.
