It was a lot worse in 1938. We lived on Ruby Banks Road (Riverside) and we had 18 inches in the ground floor, however I think it would be a lot worse still in 2009

Spent many happy day's on this and the park on the other side. Also My father drove the carriage and this was the last time I saw him before coming to Australia.Ray Spencer

Suggest rename St Catherin[e]s pics as Castlehaven 1, 2 Castlehaven is at the west end of Reeth Bay the whole coastline of the bay has had extensive sea defence work - clear from current G-EARTH image the works appear to have completely filled the slipway seen in the foreground of CASTLEHAVEN 1 and the shore as shown in pic i have taken in 1980
