Hi I do hope you have time to help me, I am Glen in Morphett Vale Australia; I am 67 years old now, a long time ago I made my first movie it was with some photos a friend gave me. They were so impressive I wanted to do something with them so others could enjoy them. It wasn’t a bad effort for a first movie ever. Now I am retired and have very high quality camera equipment, couldn’t afford any of this before my retirement let alone to consider trips away.

I take a lot of stills and my wife shoots the Video footage, I then combine both with various sound effects Voice over background sound etc and hope to get a winner. I find every thing improves with every film now my next trip will be to Alaska this year and I will be shooting in HD so this is new to me also.

Next year we plan on about 3 trips to Asia, I am vary keen to go to Harbin and I hoping you could comment on things I need to consider as I am 67 years old so this is always a consideration we are both well but the normal libations of fitness apply.

After looking at Harbin on Google Earth, I also looked at many photos you have taken and these were great which further increases my mind to go to Harbin. I think I would just make a trip to Harbin stay there and return home, I not sure how much time to allow, I have always taken packages tours and they all seemed so rushed. Could you suggest so we could comfortably a time to see everything.

  1. The most important thing is our security being seniors.
  2. Keeping warm comes in number 2.
  3. Best way to get about during the day and at night. (No night clubs)

I do like cool weather we have been to the Australian Snowy Mountains and stayed there for 12 days I spent 7 in hospital from a bad fall on the road. I now have good quality hiking boots. We have also been to New Zealand Alps and flew up on to the Glacier for 1 hour. I don’t know what the temperature was but it was fairly mild, on the other hand I read where the temperature in Harbin was -32* in January when the Ice Festival has it opening day, this worries me I started looking at every photo on Google Earth for Harbin to see what clothing was being worn. I have looked at all your photos which were all great. May I thank you in advance for any information you may send me glenp2@adam.com.au
