It is beautiful country, and very quiet. We chose our house there because of the views, and because it's sparsely populated compared to other lakes in middle Tennessee. We have taken hundreds of pictures all over Cordell Hull. None of them compare with actually being there. Can't seem to get enough of it!
These two canals are the oldest in South Florida. Construction was begun in 1906. The wooden structure on the right was left from the construction days. It was destroyed in Hurricane Wilma in October of 2005.
This picture definitely looks like it was taken in the Everglades, and may be placed properly, but this spot is about 20 miles north of the National Park boundary. The Everglades National Park does not encompass all of the Everglades.

One of only 2 marinas on Cordell Hull Lake. A very nice facility with rental cabins, boat ramp, fuel, public restrooms, and a great little cafe.
