Hi - I am an Anthony - and I spent parts of many summers in the old (now defunct) house where my grandparents raised twelve children; swimming of the (now defunct) wharf where my great grandfather built ships; playing on the sandbars at low tide (watching obsessively for the tide to turn); picking raspberries; visiting with the many many many relatives (I was sure they must all be relatives); locking my favorite uncle in the outhouse and throwing littl green apples through the window: and basking in the spirit of family place. It still is there for me. I hope the chestnut tree my grandfather planted from a nut when he was a little boy is still there; It was quite robust when I was there last in 2005 - right at the entrance to the park from the road.

Très belle photo de cette "échauguette" de la forteresse de Louisbourg, celle-ci similaire à celles de Brouage, la cité de Champlain, en Saintonge, près de Rochefort (France).
