Beautiful shot, LIKE! Jean-Paul

Thanks for posting this. Near the lower left corner of this photo is a triangle shaped lake, we used to have a trapline in this area, with a trapper cabin on that lake. We called that lake: Ghost Lake, it is on the Talon River.

taken at the Ena Falls dock, looking west, at about 5 pm or so

I would feel right at home here.

This is very beautiful. Looks very much like where we live in Canada.

Gerhard: your rant about corporations does not make any sense. Neither does your comment about the limitation of vehicle one can use. There should be no such limitation at all. So it is OK for Gerhard Gehrmann to go to a certain place because you own an aircraft, but i am not permitted to go to the same spot because I only have a truck? And the folks with the aircraft made sure of that by destroying the roads? Very disingenuous of you. In many cases walking or canoeing, or rowing or even a snowmachine is not the practical option when a road exists. Transportation to an area by road (if a road exists) is usually the best and least expensive options for prospectors.

As far as I know, the folks who bought the cabin from my dad - Dennis and Shirley - still own "Shirley's Cabin/Green Camp" - as well as the other log cabin (now very much reduced in size and purpose) on the other side of their fully winterized (and modern)cabin that sits between both properties...

The last time I was there was in the summer of 2011, and the cabin was still there...

I used to wake up to this view every morning. this is the view from the Potter house on 14th street. We used live at the old trailer park down town, way a the back end, and the view was even more spectacular.
