This old bus was visible from I40, on the west bank of the Buffalo River, for many years. It was a long-standing goal of mine simply to walk to that spot to see how a bus could wind up in such an odd location. Just to the west of the river crossing, there is a road that goes under the interstate, but with no interchange. To get to that point, you can exit I40 at route 13 (a few miles to the east), go south just a short distance, then wind around on little roads to get to the interstate bridge. Or you could exit I40 at the Cuba Landing interchange, go north a short distance then head back eastward along the winding country roads. Google Maps shows the country roads in that area. When I parked under the interstate and walked over to the place where this old bus was located, I did not see any no trespassing signs; I assumed it was the interstate right-of-way. I suppose most of that area is private property, but the roads at least are public as long you stay out of people's driveways. The last time I drove along I40, the old bus was gone, I think. Good luck with your random adventures (much better than overly organized excursions). Be aware and be safe!
