This eccentric plaque really does appear near the entrance to a commercial establishment on Church Street in Nashville TN.

I remember looking at that bus since befor 1970 or so whenever our family went to the lake. There was also i think green and yellow bus up there somewhere. I think the story I heard was that the bus got stuck while being moved and it was just allowed to stay where it was. So glad you took that picture if what to me was a fond land mark that stirred my imitation.

I have been to this park before, beautiful place! LIKE

Hi Steve, I have relatives that lived in Readyville. This was in the late 1800's. Im wondering if your wife knows of any Carnahans from that area? Or, any cemeteries there? David se7endram@yahoo.com

Thanks. That trestle looks like a kid's erector set construction, but I think it has been there for a very long time. I have memories of Shelby Park from my childhood, and I think I recall the trestle being there, many decades ago!

Great viewpoint!

Fletcher Webster's dad, Daniel Webster died 10 years earlier.

Thanks. Before hiking that trail, I had looked at the Google Earth satellite photo of that area. It was surprising to see a rather large housetop visible in the photo, apparently in the middle of nowhere. It would be interesting to know why the house is there, and also why it is abandoned.
