Cool photo... I had a loft in Santee Village for a few years. I think LA Street betwwwn 7th and Olympic is one of the city's most underappreciated areas. It has some elements thatremind me of SoHo in NYC, with the old fire escapes, ornate buildings, etc. Eventually it will get spruced up.

Fantastic, but scary trail. Wet soil, loose rocks, 100 foot fall... yeah, that's an adrenaline rush for sure.
