Yeah, it just took me a second to figure out -- once I saw the name you gave me for the lake, though, I was all over it. I will have to Google to see if I can find a story on the store burning down. That's very sad. It was just one of those places I had to stop as soon as I saw it!
Its a beautiful Country Cassygirl, isn't it? Good choice of roads back to SoCal! A group of us did a dual sport motorcycle (dirt) ride near where you took that shot recently, at Clear Creek, off the other road to Coalinga. Hwy 25 is beautiful!
tHE MOST BEAUTIFUL SPOT. many years ago my brother and I stayed one night here and then went on to another camp. Yosemite is heaven. I live in New Zealand now and I still wish we were close to Yosemite.
Cassygirl's conversations
Velmi pěkná fotka, F+L, zdraví Jiří
Spectacular picture, no matter where you look at it.
Nice picture. Its not a ruber, but a Speckled Rattler (Crotalus mitchellii).
Cute marmot shot :)
Must have been a big snow year. Plenty up there still and I don't think that's Lyell or MacLure. Nice shot.

That's actually unicorn peak in the background, not echo peaks.
