This is not Jama Masjid !! This is Laal Masjid. This is the mosque on top of which persian conqurer Nadir Shah stood with his sword up in the air, and announced mass killing of hindus (Qatl-e-aam).
below the sign which says "14" there is a clothe sign whose first word I cannot read but last words are (transliterated into English): "va chane kaa sattuu". Beside that there is yellow clothe sign in which first word is obstructed by a man's head. Remaining words are: jou kaa sattuu bhunaa huaa". Meaning of these word: va (and), chane (chickpeas, plural of chana), kaa (of), sattu (roasted and ground flour of something), jou (barley). sattuu is roasted flour of a grain. So these shops are selling sattuu of barley and chickpea. I would not be surprised if the stuff you thought was spices was actually sattuu of different grains. sattuu's are eaten by just adding cold water or milk and some flavoring. Since it is roasted before grinding to flour no cooking is required.
