En ésta obra del marchenero Lorenzo Coullaut Valera, aparece el poeta sevillano en busto y, sentadas detrás de él en un banco, tres mujeres que representan el amor que llega, el amor que vive y el amor que muere. El monumento rodea como un anillo el tronco de un corpulento ciprés de los pantanos, que fué plantado en 1850, 61 años antes que aquél, y que acababará reventandolo a poco que viva y crezca otro siglo más. Esta simbiosis de savia y de poderosa piedra pedecedera hace del conjunto más romántico de lo que ya es.
