Cool trees!! Voted. Greeting from Norway.

This place looks nice. It is a bit far for me as I live in Silicon Valley. I might check it out one of these days. Good shot, nice rock foreground! David My Contest - "CALIFORNIA DREAMING"

The den center is a mound originally formed by a termite colony decades ago. The actual den is an elaborate subterranean complex, where birthing and pup rearing occurs. Subsequent excavation of the original termite mound was conducted by aardvarks, and finally remodeled by the Painted Hunting Dog (Lycaon pictus pictus) pack. In the foreground is a resting adult.

These Painted Hunting Dogs are members of a pack completing an afternoon hunt. They are moving at a relaxed pace through a shallow marsh at the southern flank of the Kwando River, and pause occasionally for a drink of the fresh water.

This closed canopy Atlas Cedar forest is situated in the Middle Atlas Mountains of the Meknès-Tafilalet region. This forest is part of the very restricted relict range of the endangered Barbary Macaque, a number of whom I sighted within this habitat. This habitat is undergoing degradation, primarily from overgrazing activity, which is readily observable from the number of livestock animals and the poor condition of understory vegetation.

The perspective is great. White sky and white river very well balanced. great one!
