Geerten, same person

Artesian bores are seen in just about any part of Australia, the water comes from far underground and is usualy boiling hot . The water is sometimes brackish but not saltwater . the water is drinkable but sometimes can have a sulphur smell and taste . some cattle stations run the boiling water into open drains to allow to cool so as their cattle can drink it. This pic is a good example showing the red and yellow stain that is the sulphur and iron chemicals from the water .

Hi "eschaf", while I can see that this photo was taken at Peak Head, I think that the title would be better as something like "View from Peak Head over Frenchmans Bay and Goode Beach".

Its a Big Country out here :-)
