Güzel ve muhteşem gencselim fotoğraf, tebrikler.
saygılarımla
It was about 8 p.m. 10 August 1974 when we heard a terrible noise, something like an explosion. We started shooting, but there was no answer. At about 2 hours later, we heard people running away, shouting in turkish. In the next morning we realized what exactly had happened. We went there and saw 4 abandoned tanks. The 1st one was the one which had been hit by the mine. We emptied the tanks and put fire on the 4th one so as to block the way back. Later, an excavator managed to move the 1st tank and we took the other 2 down to Nicosia. A few days later we left the area (15 August 1974), because Turkish troops came to the territory and reached us very close. Probably, the tank that is still left there is the 1st one. I have a letter which i took with me from the second tank as document. argysot@hol.gr
