Yep: my family moved to Avenue Rd, S Norwood in 1945. I was three at the time. The first time I ever went to a cinema was to see 'Bambi'. It was at the 'Astoria', in the building that is now 'David House'. God knows how many different uses it has been put to since then. We left S Norwood in 1964.
