Its good you still have that thatched house and good to preserve your custom and culture house where all the elders gathered and I also treasure this meeting house and proud its still there. Hope I will come and see the biggest house (mwaneaba)

Hi ! I have applied for a teaching job in Betio. I am interested in snorkelling and surfing, and enjoy meeting people. Kiribati is said to be the most densely populated area in the world but googleEarth indicates otherwise. How much space is there for us who are used to empty beaches. Are the beaches free of pollution (namely human faeces) which is troubling in Asian countries. What are the joys and hassles of living in Kiribati ?
