Der Turm, oder zumindest die Kuppel, war baufällig. Auf dem Foto kann man sehen, wie rechts und links die Reste eines Umgangs herunterhängen. Es sollen schon mehrmals Teile heruntergefallen sein. Deshalb musst man wohl einschreiten. In Betrieb ist der Turm schon lange nicht mehr, seine Arbeit haben Pumpen übernommen.
